PLC 2 TO LOGIX 5000 REPLACEMENT
If you have an old outdated PLC/2 we have a direct replacement where the PLC/2 is
removedand a Controlnet adapter is installed. The exisiting 1771 I/O now can be addressed from the Control Logix platform
via Controlnet. Usually no rewiring is involved and the cost is similar to replacing the PLC/2 with a PLC/5. The
major advantage is the newer PLC processor is less expensive than the PLC/5. Keep the I/O and replace the brain!
